Lisa Ling regularly files dispatches for the Oprah Winfrey Show as a special correspondent, and is a contributor to CNN's critically acclaimed series, Planet in Peril. She has also been a correspondent for National Geographic Explorer since December 2002, and is also well known for her stint sharing her no-holds-barred opinions on current events and everyday issues as a co-host of ABC�s hit daytime talk show, The View. Prior to Explorer, Ling fed her sense of adventure as senior war correspondent for Channel One News, visiting violent hot spots around the globe.

Lisa Ling�s experiences as a journalist include everything from covering the looting of the antiquities of war-torn Iraq to sharing tea with the Dalai Lama. Her time as National Geographic Explorer�s first woman host since it premiered two decades ago helps Ling become a gifted media speaker as she guides audiences on her fascinating journeys reporting on real-life adventures.
