A physician who’s cared for and counseled innumerable patients threatened by illness, Dr. Siegel embraces a philosophy of living and dying that stands at the forefront of the medical ethics and spiritual issues our society grapples with today. In 1978 he began talking about patient empowerment and founded ECaP, Exceptional Cancer Patients, a specific form of individual and group therapy focused on loving, safe, and therapeutic confrontations to facilitate personal change and healing. Dr. Siegel is the author of several books, including, Peace, Love and Healing and How To Live Between Office Visits, and is currently involved in humanizing medical education and making the medical profession aware of the mind/body connection.
